Content Description

Chapter 14 from the Welding Handbook, Ninth Edition, Volume 2, “Welding Processes, Part 1,” has been selected by the AWS Product Development Committee as a service to industry professionals. The fundamentals of the oxygen cutting process, oxyfuel gas cutting, and several commonly used variations are described in this chapter. A brief discussion of the economics of oxygen cutting also is included. Safety recommendations and references to additional safety standards are presented in the “Safe Practices” section near the end of the chapter.
